Youth Parliament Indonesia

Youth is an important element in Indonesian politics. History has shown how youth movements play a great role in Indonesian political development. Recognizing the importance of youth participation in politics, and the current lack of such, Parlemen Muda emerges as a stage to facilitate youth ideas and views on factual situations.

Run by youths for youths, Parlemen Muda provides opportunity for 17-24 year-olds to use their voices to express public interest. It is a form of youth emancipation, where 33 representations from every province in Indonesia gather to express and exchange ideas, in order to achieve solution over national problems. Delegates are elected through direct voting, where any youth of the age 12-24 are able to give their vote.
