Youth in Action

One of the biggest constraints that the South African youth face is poor engagement and focus by the leadership on Youth Development. Youth in Action is a project that aims art using radio programing and podcast as tools to give the youth a platform to engage on issues affecting them. The focus lies largely on celebrating youth people doing remarkable work in their communities, using the programming to give the youth a platform to air their grievances, identify resources available to them at community level and encourage youth participation and youth role play in youth development. The initiative has a potential to reach over 100 000 youth monthly. Part of the programs will involves community forums and youth empowerment seminars. The project will be available on http://www.youthvillage.co.za/ and will also be pilot aired on 6 radio stations in the Free State South AFrica.
