Youth for Climate Justice is designed to raise awareness about climate change not just as an environmental problem but as a humanitarian one too. It is often those in poorer countries, as well as the poorest people in developed countries, who will be most affected by climate change but are the least responsible for the problem. This project aims to make aware this issue of climate justice and to implement various small scale environmental and humanitarian projects within our communities in Canada by targeting poor families.
We plan to offer local organic food alternatives to the least fortunate in our society, in addition to giving these families water conservation technologies that will help them save money and the environment. Through various school presentations and activities our team in India and Canada will also coordinate tree planting activities and track the carbon offsets from such activities on our website and continue to solve the climate crisis.
