I graduated with a first class degree in Modern History. I volunteered in Ghana for ten weeks over the summer of 2015 on a livelihoods project and since the beginning of March 2016 I have been interning in Geneva with two human rights advocacy NGOs, Franciscans International and the CCPR-Centre. I am interested in pursuing a career in human rights, with a particular focus on the rights of women and girls, and in February 2016 I delivered a presentation on gender inequality to around 150 16-17 year olds at my local school. From the end of September, I will be undertaking an internship in Uganda for three months, with an NGO focusing on bringing leadership skills to women.
