Smriti Bhaya

Smriti Bhaya is a final-year Master's candidate in City Planning at MIT. Hailing from Mumbai, India, she is the CEO and Co-founder of Sakhi, an innovative health-education technology startup. Sakhi serves as a digital health literacy platform aimed at enhancing preventative care in underserved communities across India and Bangladesh. The platform empowers developmental agencies and nonprofits by providing them with tools to monitor social and behavioral changes, while also offering women and girls access to AI-powered WhatsApp chatbots for private and verified health information. As both a city planner and architect, Smriti has crafted impactful solutions for social change in diverse locations including New York, Boston, Kenya, India, and Bangladesh.
