Sara Berkai

Sara Berkai, 28, is the visionary founder of Ambessa Play, dedicated to designing innovative educational tools for children around the globe. Originally from Sudan, with Eritrean heritage, and raised in London, she proudly became the first in her family to attend university. With a robust background in technology, Sara earned her BSc from UCL and subsequently completed an MSc in Education at the University of Oxford. Her impactful work has earned her numerous accolades, including a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in Social Impact, the Innovate UK Women in Innovation award, recognition as a Young ICT Leader by the UN's ITU, and the 'Pass It On' award from AnitaB.org. Ambessa Play has garnered attention from prominent publications such as the Financial Times, Fast Company, and Dezeen. With a deep passion for enhancing education in conflict-affected regions, Sara is eager to connect with and learn from fellow changemakers at the summit.
