Rokunda Lukoto

Rokunda is from Thohoyandou in Venda, Limpopo. His journey started with a BSc degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology in the pursuit of becoming a science educator to help alleviate the problems faced by students in marginalized communities in this ever-changing and 5IR led world to gain access to basic materials, skills, and knowledge. Socially his impact sees the implementation of science to solve cutting-edge issues in communities that aren’t as knowledgeable about Biochemistry and Microbiology to try to bridge the gap of illiteracy and lack of professional expertise in underdeveloped areas such as Thohoyandou. As a person within the queer, neurodivergent, and socially minor hierarchy, he continues to be a voice for those in his community that need it most.
