Reyaaz holds a Master’s Degree in International Politics from UNISA and plans on pursuing his PhD very soon. in 2018, he became one of the first South Africans to be selected to do his diplomatic training at the European Academy of Diplomacy in Warsaw, Poland becoming the first South African to work for the Community of Democracies (CoD). He also worked on matters pertaining to human rights as well as increasing meaningful youth participation in public life. He currently serves on the Steering Committee of the Youth for TPNW as a Partnerships Coordinator. This organisation is a global youth movement pursuing the full implementation of the UN's Treaty on the Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Most recently he has been selected to serve as the Clerk of Parliament for the SADC Youth Parliament. The parliament's main purpose is to increase youth participation in governance within the SADC region.
