Elmeer founded a youth-led organization called 'CORE' - Children Optimization for the Revitalization of Environment with the objective of educating children on the adverse effects of plastic pollution in the ocean and community, to raise environmental awareness through different social media platforms, to compose environmental songs about climate change as a medium to spread awareness in local communities, to participate in the development of low-carbon development plans and in developing of child-sensitive adaptation policies.
His flagship project is called the 'Ecological Saturdays Initiative' which aims to develop the capacity of young learners, aged 9-12, to be environmental leaders through a multi-step learning process in the coastal communities of the Philippines. The project places an emphasis on education, experiential learning, and exposure.
His vision is to integrate climate change in the curriculum of all schools in the Philippines and to reach more children with this essential information.
