Mazvita Mhene

Mazvita Mhene, a 22-year-old honours student in Political and International Studies at Rhodes University, is deeply committed to advancing gender equality and advocating for women's rights. She is also passionate about promoting quality education, health awareness, and community development. Mazvita has actively participated in the Girl's Brigade in Zimbabwe, where she has taken on the role of mentor, empowering young girls to become confident leaders. As a Peer Educator at Rhodes University, she has led workshops on crucial topics such as HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and gender equality, making a significant impact on her peers. Looking ahead, Mazvita's primary ambition is to establish her own foundation dedicated to promoting gender equality, women's rights, and education.
