Martin is a 28-year-old from Namibia. He works as a research librarian and holds an Honors Degree in Information Studies, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from the University of Namibia. In addition, he has earned a Master's degree in Leadership, Management in Library and Information Science (LIS), and is currently a PhD student at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Martin is the founder of the Open Access Knowledge Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching digital literacy skills and enhancing Namibian representation on platforms like Wikipedia. His vision is to expand this initiative to empower youth, combat misinformation, and preserve Namibian narratives. Additionally, he aims to create a platform for translating English into local languages, ensuring equal access to information for all.
