George - Kenya

George is a Civil Engineering Student from Kenya.

He is interested in education and peaceful, inclusive and sustainable cities. Through Global Youth Forum he has been able to successfully conduct events which include peace seeking civic education to youths from slums and a football for peace tournament in the county, in order to prevent a repetition of the post election violence in Kenya that occurred in 2007/2008. This is by educating the youth so that they cannot be incited by politicians to fight like the were in 2007. He has also taken part in other activities like children's homes visits and environmental cleanups. George also volunteers as a maths and science teacher. He enjoys playing chess and wants to create sustainable cities in Africa and other parts of the world.
