Changemaker: Diego Tabares

Big Toe Foundation based in the poem: “Oh dear Big Toe you really know what is to be in my shoes”. Big Toe is a platform to empower young people from underprivileged backgrounds to catalyze their energy into to small positive actions that can transform the communities. We believe that the small actions can have a significant impact in the lives of these youth, so we have created a volunteer network with young people from the most disadvantaged schools in our city, in order to catalyze the behaviors to actions that give their community new hope of change. We’ve also started the Young Leadership School, so that we can build their skills and give them tools to start their own projects and to have a different perspective of life. We want to empower them and foster their creativity and show how team work is fundamental in order to generate change and good actions.
