Barbara Alusala

Meet Barbara Alusala, a 23-year-old final-year medical student at the University of Cape Town and the visionary founder of "16 Ways for 16 Days." This impactful initiative unites youth in the fight against gender-based violence through education and collaborative efforts. In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Barbara holds the position of Vice President of the African Research Society at UCT, where she is dedicated to bridging the gap between students and African-led research initiatives. With a passion for social justice, Barbara aims to expand her initiative across Africa, fostering meaningful collaborations that empower communities and promote equality.
