Arunima - India

Arunima is currently majoring in Mathematics. Since she was young, she has always nurtured the thought of inspiring people around her. She took the initiative to start 'The Period Project', ensuring that women got access to proper information related to menstrual health, and educating the community about their hardships. Having started her work in this field only last year, it is commendable that her initiative has reached out to around 1500 women in rural India and has provided biodegradable sanitary napkins to around 500 of them. She recognizes the field that she is passionate about and the path that best suits her abilities. She has always been driven to create an impact and her approach towards problem-solving has always encompassed: community, enterprise and creativity.
