ANABEL- Germany/Switzerland

Anabel started studying law but then changed to sociology. She chose those subjects because she wanted to change something and understand why things are the way they are in the world. But studying was too theoretical for her. She was missing the "hands on" experience. Next to her studies she always engaged in out of university activities. She worked 2 years in asylum centres and became head of communication in ELSA. After breaking off her studies she began working for Smiling Gecko, an NGO working in Cambodia and became the project manager. She is, and always was, most interested in humanitarian activism.
